Before you start at ICMS, Aspire Institute, Aspire English or ISCA, you should complete the following onboarding activites:

  1. Receive your username and password by email and log in and activate your student account
  • Check the ASPIRE ENGLISH Orientation/Commencement Day or Welcome email
  • Go to https://www.office.com/
  • Click on Sign in
  • Enter your student email address
  • Enter the initial password (the first four characters of your student email address followed by your date of birth in the form DDMMYYYY)
  • Re-enter the initial password
  • Enter a new password that you need to create
  • Re-enter the new password

2. Connect with ICMS Student Wi-Fi

  • City campus
    • Username: the characters before @ symbol in your student email address
    • Password: the new password you created in Step 1
  • Manly campus
  • Wi-Fi name: ICMS-Students
  • Password: please ask our staff

3. Complete your Student Declaration Form

  • Fill in and submit the form HERE

4. Request for a Student ID card

  • Go to the form HERE
  • Fill in the form (upload your passport/Australian driver’s licence and a passport style photo)
  • Choose “Aspire English” for Question 2
  • Submit the form

5. Access to your Moodle – Learning Management System

  • Go to Moodle HERE
  • Log in with your student email address and new password

6. Be aware of the Attendance Policy and Procedure if you are holding a student visa

  • You need to maintain minimum 80% of attendance in a study period.
  • If your attendance rate is at 80%-85%, you will receive an Attendance Warning Letter.
  • If your attendance rate is lower than 80%, you will receive an Intention to Report of Unsatisfactory Attendance email. If you do not have a compassionate/compelling reason and evidence for your absence, you might be excluded and your enrolment might be cancelled for unsatisfactory attendance. Accordingly, your student visa might be cancelled by the Department of Home Affairs.

7. Be aware of the ELICOS Course Progression Policy and Procedure

  • To make satisfactory course progression, you must move up a level at the end of every 10 weeks.
  • If you cannot move up a level after 10 weeks, you will receive a Letter of Caution for Unsatisfactory Course Progression.
  • If you cannot move up a level after 20 weeks, you will receive an Intention to Report of Unsatisfactory Course Progression email. If you do not have a compassionate/compelling reason and evidence for your poor progression, you might be excluded and your enrolment might be cancelled for unsatisfactory course progression. Accordingly, your student visa might be cancelled by the Department of Home Affairs.
